Anyone live around Delaware and meet up?

I'm going to visit my Son in September from the 9th to the 17th. He's been in the Air Force for over 7 years and stationed there. We don't really have anything planed. So I thought it would be nice if I could meet some of you and see some of your cars first hand.

There's a cruise-in scheduled for the 9th at a shopping center in Dover, but that's probably a bad day for you since you'll be arriving the same day. There's a couple of cruise-ins up here closer to Wilmington (about 45 minutes away from Dover) on Sunday that are pretty decent. Hooter's has one on Monday but I haven't been to that one in a couple of years. I take it you're flying in?

Thanks for the info. Yes I'm flying into Philly and my son is going to pick me up. I'm suposed to get there at 4:00 pm. Round trip is $365. No way could I drive for that. The wife is staying behind. After what happend two nights ago. My CHP buddys are going to drive by a couple times a night wile I'm gone. That will make her feel better anyway.

I wouldn't be too keen on leaving town after something like that either, but at least you have friends in law enforcement who will be there to help keep an eye out. Was your wife planning on coming out too? She didn't cancel her trip because of the wacko visit, did she?

My wife doesn't travel well. Shes OK on short trips. Shes had too many back surgeries. So I'm coming out without her. My Son is not her Son anyway. I've offered to buy a ticket to go see her Son but a no go on that too.When I get home I'll take her to the Beach. It's only a 1 1/2 hour drive and the National rides  good. So she docent mind the trip to there.
