440 oil slinger

What direction does the oil slinger go on a 440?  Any pics?  Thanks in advance.

According to my 71 Dodge service manual , it says " Slide the crankshaft oil slinger over the shaft and up against sprocket (flange away from sprocket)"

Yes, it is the last piece before the timing cover.  It has a "bevel" which faces outward.
