Don't worry, I am not selling my 69...yet.
Cash flow is almost zero, so, there she sits in the garage with a leaking lower rad hose, not even have the cash to spend the 30 bucks on a hose :shruggy:
Fuel isn't the prob, I have gas credit from work, so gas's free.
The Charger needs a front end rebuild, I have the expensive PST Super Kit stashed away under the bed. The trans needs to be adjusted so, other $$$ there. Need a floor mat and sill plates to have a decent interior. It doesn't stop...
With a new hose I can limp around but man, it is so frustrating driving a real hot muscle car but afraid of calling Dr. Hook anytime. It looks like I have my dream car but can't afford it to keep or enjoying her.

My full time job as mortician doesn't pay the bills and the passion.
Man, don't tell me I need to get a second job :nono:

Time to get things straight. Sorry, end rant.

Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Just remember, even though you are frustrated now, your Charger keeps on appreciating everyday.

Sorry to say CB but I did get a second job. It might be your only option and it's not that bad. I just did'nt want to see my Charger sitting in the garage for years before I had the money to get it restored. I have two young kids and money was going to get more scarce as the years progress, so I bit the bullet and secured a second job! I'm almost there with the completion. I know I would of gotten the Chargercan'trestore blues and probably had the same thoughts as you are getting now. Hang in there bud and don't sell! You will regret it for the rest of your life. See if you can get a part time second job that will help with a little extra cash. It adds up quick if you dont spend it in other things!   :yesnod:

I hear Ya',
I worked two jobs to do mine and i was sweating every checks arrival, even though i didn't have time to spend any $ anyway...
there were allways these big ticket things on the horizon,.. I usually did mine in $2K incraments... I took a loan out on the "Good" Paint job, approx $10K that ruined my discretionary spending for two years... To be fair my other Passion, Music took a fair amount of funds to keep a band up and running in a decent Studio...
But Hey!,.. were obsessed, when when you pull into a parking spot, You've ARRIVED!  :icon_smile_approve:

its a really good lookin car so far, and believe me i can understand the temptation. my charger is pretty rough, basicly barely a driver and not even quite legal as that. its all spray bomb primer, sittin in my driveway and sometimes even my dads yard! the interior is pretty bad, the smog 360 ticks badly when warm ect ect. BUT ITS MY DREAM CAR! or it will be when it gets done. Yeah i did bite the bullet and borrowed the $ to buy my duster when i found it at an insane steal. and that is keeping alot of the spending down for a while, and time for working on the charger. It will go away in a year or 2, but i will not sell the charger..cars ,jobs , and woemen will all come and go but a charger shuld be forever.

CB, things will come up somehow, don't loose your spirit.
I remember your help while I was looking for car all over the internet. I was limited with certain things, one of them was money and I remember your words saying "You'll find your charger one day just be patient".
And I got one.  Now she is in the long process of restoring but one day...

You'll make it, I believe from the bottom of my hart. :yesnod:

CB, don't even think of selling that car. The hard stuff is all done (bodywork) and it's just a bunch of small stuff that's getting to you. Mine's been apart for years and is just now going back together. It just takes patience and an iron will to see things through. You've come too far to give up now....if it's bugging you that much just throw a cover over it for a month or two. Trust me, you'll be sorry if you let it go !

I had a second job last fall/winter, and may get a second job again now....

Don't sell. You will regret it. I regret selling my Dart. Everytime I pass her, sitting behind that arsehole's house quietly rotting away, I kick myself. It doesn't help I sold to a guy around the corner from me, who I pass every day on the way to work. :rotz: I don't even like what I plan to do with the D100 since there wasn't any interest in buying it. Keep the rear and use the body to hone my bodyworking skills.

Keep her, you'll get more enjoyment out of her sitting in your garage than if you sell it.

I have thought about it, but I know the moment I do...I would regret it.  I am actually going to try to get a part time job to help get it paid off so I can work on it.  :)

CB, If you don't remember I was the one that checked that car out for you. I remember what it looked like when it was sitting back in that old backwoods garage. You have gone through so much to get that car where it is now. Buying a car from another country, shipping it overseas, the wheels and tires and all the bodywork and paint... CB, that car is beautiful now. It would be a crying shame to see you sell it. You can, at the very least, limp around in your car. My Charger has yet to leave the garage. Being a full time, flat broke, college student is not helping me get ANYWHERE with my Charger. I have had my dream car for just over 2 years (June 19th) and gotten almost no where with it. Yet as tight as money is right now I CANNOT justify selling that car. Owning a Charger has been one of my dreams since I was 8 years old and that dream has finally been fulfilled. I know that if I sell now, I may never own another Charger again. CB, don't give up on your dream just because of a few hardships. If it comes down to the car or food on the table I'm not telling you to starve, but if there is ANY way to keep your '69, DO IT!
