:yesnod:   Oh yes I did.   I didn't think that those daytona trucks were that slow.   Well,  I beat one with the Chally at the Nats.   It was a good race but the stock 383 mag said "C-ya".   I've never shifted so fast in my life.   The end result for me was a 15.9.    I was happier than a butcher's dog all day long. :icon_smile_tongue:  Daytona dude wasn't thrilled.   Sorry if I'm bragging, but I am still excited.

I think the Daytona truck looks pretty good although the wing is not at all practical,  I do like the rumble bee.

That's not the truck with the Viper package on it, or is it? I've heard that those Dodge pick up's with the Viper package are quick! Congratulations anyway! I always like to hear that an old Mopar has smoked someone!   ;D

 there are three sport trucks...

the Rumble Bee, The Daytona, and the SRT-10.
I think that there are less restrictions on trucks then cars as regards CAFE (fuel averages) and that's why there's so much emphisis on Trucks.  DCX is trying to get vehicles classified as trucks... Like the P.T. Crusier, ya did know it's concidered a truck?..
I suspect the neon replacment (Caliber) might be classified as a truck too.

ouch, a 15.9 is kinda rough. im sure it was even more rough for the truck guy tho  ;)

15.9 that sounds slow to me. My 4dr 2004 4cyl Sebring goes almost that fast.

i have driven the srt10 truck, viper engine 6 speed and factory 4.10s-now they are freakin quick! daytona and rumble bee are just fancy paint slts, not any performance mods-and i am always glad to hear a muscle car spanking anything new-andy

Any questions?

I don't think a 15.9 is anything to be jumping for joy over, especially when beating a 4dr full size pick up truck. Sure that's probably a good time for a stock 383, but I think my 318 2bbl could come in under 20 seconds. The Daytona truck is basically a dress up package. I sure hope the owner of the truck knows this. How did you do in your next race?

FWIW, I think trucks with spoilers look ridiculous. They serve no purpose. I believe a truck should be used for it's intended purpose.

One what? I'm not knocking you or your car. I just don't see the point in bragging about beating a 4dr full size truck. I am not going to sit here and agree with every post about how old school is better and the new DCX stuff sucks. I am much more open minded about new technology and I'm one of the few on this site that likes the new stuff DCX is bringing out . I know I am out numbered by far, but that's me.

Congrats on the win Doc   . You're way too sensitive. You wouldn't happen to be a psychologist would you? :P    ;D
