upgrading sending unit...

getting ready to fuel inject and have a 3/8 sending unit with the 1/4 return which will be too small so i already cut out the 1/4 return and drilled the hole out to accept a 5/16 return line.... have the line all bent and in place but what i need to know is does it get welded in or does it get sweated in like copper pipe.... thanks for the replies in advance...

never done this before  my self to a sender unit , but i have seen it done , it is  sweated it on like copper pipe connections . hope this helps.
