I have a 1967 Dodge Charger with a 383, 4 Speed & 3.55 Sure Grip rear end.

I will be taking out the motor to rebuild it and have it balanced at the end of the month.
I have purchased a edlebrock performer 383 intake manifold and have been running a holly 600cfm 4bbl carb.

I have a old RV cam in it now that I bought 12 years ago and thought now would be a good time to change it out.

I have been looking at Mopar cams but am not sure which one would be the best.

or something else?

I do not plan on racing this car.
I want it to sound nice and have punch.

I would really appreciate your suggestions / recommendations.

Thanks!

An Engle K56 would probably be my choice with the 4 speed and 3.55's. I am really happy with the split grind K56/K58 I have in my 440. Mine is ground on a 110 for a decent but noticealbe idle.

6T9(Chris) had a K56 ground on a 108 for a lopey idle in his 440.

You might want to step the carb up as a 600 seems a little small(750cfm would work good).  Others may have different advice on that though.

I agree with the Engle cams
if you have to use the older Mopar cams I would use the top one for the 6 pack

:iagree: The 6-pack/magnum cam would be the best choice with your setup.....if you wanted to use an MP cam. An engle k56 on a 110 lsa would also work well but you might need to upgrade the valvesprings if you go with that grind.   ;)

Engle K56
2356-H K-56HYD .504"
272 ° / 272 °
.336" / .336"
.904" Lifter profile for midrange torque 9 to 1 compression street cars & trucks power from 1800-5500 RPM

I don't know that I like the low end power range. I use to have a cam in this thing that had a low 2500 RPM range and I had to wear a kidney belt to drive the thing in town.

Whats the Lobe Center? The Mopar cams are at 115 ° and the Engle is 110 ° What does changing this value do?

it will affect the way the cam operates. The 115 LSA will have a broader powerband with less peak power than a 110 LSA.

The idle will be a little rougher also.

you can get the K 56 ground on a 112 CL, if you are using exhaust manifolds this will help
