What's the right way to install and finish the rear valence corners on a 69 Charger?

Should the gaps between the corner and the fender and valence be sealed or left open then painted?

They're calked on the quarter panels and left open on the valance.

Factory is like in the picture with the lines seen between the parts
If you fill them in everyone assumes the back corners of your car is full of boddy filler so try to keep the factory look
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

Mytur Binsdirti - Great, thank you.

70 sublime - The photo is from Google so I wasn't sure what was done, but you're exactly right. There needs to be a some type of seem or it will look like it's filled.

Thanks for the responses.

x2  :2thumbs: Absolutely !!!!

Another pet peeve , DON'T make the lower body line sharp like on the car in the picture !!!!
Kills me when I see 68-70 Chargers with this line " sharpened " up !!!

@69 OUR/TEA - Thanks for the confirmation on the corners.  I hadn't noticed that sharp line on the quarter when I grabbed the image, but that's all I can see now

@hemi-hampton - Great photo! Thank you.
