Year one for 70 charger dash wiring?

Hey guys

Be putting the dash back in my 70 r/t after christmas. Wiring is 52 years old figure i should put in new.Dont want the car to burn up either.Is there an upgrade i can do at same time? If im not misken the factory alt wire goes all the way onto the volt meter?

Where is everyone buying their wiring from?

Side question about said harness. What is everybody using for the protective loom? I more concerned with the rear light section. Did not come with the protective covering. Sorry for slight Hy-jack charger_fan_4ever.

This one looks interesting  as its all in one and updated.but i see talk of fitting 71+ columns. I assume like everything  else 1970 its a 1 off harness vs the 68-9s ?

70 have the key and the 4 way flasher in the column and 68 69 are mounted in the dash makes the wiring different

Ammeter, not volt gauge.

M&H are straight up repro replacement harnesses

It's been a year or since I checked the AAW Harness is actually for the 68-69. The 70 is a completely different harness. Maybe they make a 70 Harness now. The AAW is a great looking harness but at the time I called AAW the harness didn't include any of the wiring in the harness for any of the electric headlight door wiring of the relay set ups. Look up the schematics and the compare them. The ignition and flashers is different also. Ignition on the 68-69 is in the dash.
