IIRC "QUEEN's" hood was on the "Duke & Dutchess" car, but it is not on the restored car

The fiberglass hood with the teardrop scoop was on my car , it was replaced when they restored it , I'm sure it is hanging on a wall in someone's garage.. I'd love to have it hanging in mine

I don't think Willie Bought the King Daytona New. From what I heard Actor Robert Goulet bought the car new in 1969 & then Willie bought it, slightly used. LEON.

I don't think Willie Bought the King Daytona New. From what I heard Actor Robert Goulet bought the car new in 1969 & then Willie bought it, slightly used. LEON.

THE KING DAYTONA
You likely noticed that nowhere above did we mention a Dodge product. Sometime after founding the International and National Brotherhood of Street Racers in 1968, Big Willie acquired a pair of 1969 Dodge Charger Daytonas – one in orange with a black tail stripe and one in green with a white tail stripe. Rumors that will never be confirmed suggest that the Chrysler Corporate gave Big Willie the orange car while the green car was purchased at a low, special price.

After locating this ad mentioning a Robert Goulet Daytona .And from a 75 newsletter. The Alexander brothers who built the dodge deora custom built a custom.daytona for Robert Goulet.Also leaded in nose and special  paint accents mentioned. The watermelon Daytona chrysler built and pictures molded in nose and special paint  accents. Just seems to fit that description

I even dug up a 1975 newsletter thought you mightfind some of this stuff interesting from back in the day of 1975 .Where it mentions Robert Goulet had recieved a daytona.That was prepared by the Alexander brothers in Detroit michigan .And before it was delivered to him.The nose was leaded in.And special paint accented the car.Another celeb Mort Sahl Bob hope had one for promotional purposes.Raquel Welch wanted a daytona .But ended up with a Cuda convertible.Then a line down George Barris had a prototype daytona that was candy red.The car was destroyed on purpose.One while two of the mechanics were tuning a hemi daytona.The car somehow dragged them across the prep garage and out the wall.And all daytonas and superbirds were wrecked on the new car prep line when they came in.Chrysler replaced most of the noses with new ones.No bondo was allowed.The problem was the cars were to long on the conveyor line.At the end of the line when they got to the end.The conveyor would disconnect.And the car would stop and the next car would rear end the firs

what a pack of bullshit. so creative really didn't do daytona noses? interesting.  they were done by chrysler. and chrysler was so stupid they didn't use anyone to move a car off the line so it  didn't total the following car? (man that line must have been really sailing along)  i never knew ma mopar was running such a fly-by-night operation up there.
