Do you need to use a oil with an additive for a 8 3/4 posi rear end?  Any recommendations?

Sure grip's need friction modifier. Have you cup or disk type?

With synthetics you don't need additional friction-modifier.

I ended up using the Royal Purple synthetic 75-90, because when I buttoned up my suregrip, Canadian Tire had it on sale for less than cheaper oil and an additive combined would have been.
