Pwr Steering Pump Pressure line O Ring-Hemi Bird

Got the pump rebuilding done (Federal) for Superbird. Pump has been inop since drag racing days of 1970! But I don't have a feel for pressure line Oring size at pump housing or mounting. I put a standard ORing in the pump receiver but sprays it back out. Does it go on the line itself at the flare end, or between the flare end and the housing port, and any idea of size?

A flare fitting needs no O ring, the flare itself does the sealing.
