I'd like to know if anyone has an opinion on brand and type of oil pan gaskets (with a windage tray). It looks like what is in there is cork and it appears they are seeping oil.
Thanks for the input.

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I've never had any trouble with cork oil pan gaskets. Most leaks are due to under/over toque issues in my opinion. I installed mine dry and have a windage tray. No leaks. Maybe I just got lucky lol.

Never tried on of these but I like the concept:

I ordered a similar windage tray from Mancini racing along with a new set of Mopar Performance oil pan bolts (with the nylon patch on the threads to keep the bolts tight).
Ill let everyone know how it works out.

I got probably the same one from Mancini and ended up pulling it out and tossing it in the trash. Turns out, they do not work well with stock oil pans due to the rail not being perfectly flat.   I ended up getting Superformance brand gaskets from Mancini instead, so far so good.  :Twocents:

Same results for us, Timmycharger, they'll work with pans that have a flat rail, though.

I prefere studs and nylon nuts on the pan regardless of what style gasket you use. They dont back off, especially with cork.

I wish I knew that before I ordered it!
