I see YearOne carry's a switch along with several other repop companies.  Is there a switch that stands above the rest or are they all Chinese junk.

I recently purchased an NOS one ($$) but the plastic nipples were brittle and cracked when I pushed on the rubber manifold.   :flame:

Repros on ebay are cheap enough that as long as they work... who cares?   Go ahead and find an NOS / used original and pay the man if you want.

I have had 3, yes 3 of the repop ones fail within 12-18 months of buying them. One of them actually came all apart when we were taking it out. The plastic is awful and won't hold vacuum. We ended up getting a couple of the old switches out of an old parts box (I don't throw anything away), taking them apart and cleaning the corrosion, then reprinting the plastic vacuum part for the headlight doors on our 3 D machine and we have never looked back. When I drove to Alaska a couple of years back the only parts that broke were repop-gas tank split, ECM fired (4 of them!), radio speaker, turn signal switch. I have sworn since then to only use old parts wherever possible, and that includes rebuilding anything we can. We had a brand new repop coil last less than a month.

FInd an old one and rebuild it

So with enough demand you ever consider going into production?   ;D
