Anyway tell how much gas in the tank to verify gauge ?

With out dropping the tank or pulling out the sending unit . Is there any way to tell how much gas is in the tank ? For the last year I always added gas when I got to the 1/4 mark on the gauge. I had previously run out one day when my gauge did not read empty .  I did a small adjustment to the gauge itself and re installed . But have always been on the safe side and jist filled when I get to 1/4 or just below.

AsI'd from jist running around until I run out anyone have any ideas how to verify ?

Before people tell me to check the sending unit . I had done all that when I installed a new unit 2 years ago. Did proper resistance test on the unit full sweep. I know the error is in the gauge .

Fill it up and compare the # with the tank size.

I know when its near 1/4 its actually E
Haven't played around with anything tho. *gauge or fuel tank/sender/ doesnt bother me to much tho.
