Wiper motor

Well I got passion for mopared. I had my 3 speed wiper motor restored before I was a member on this site. When I first put it in it would not run. She said to hit it with rubber mallet. I was like what. She said that during shipping blah blah. I have worked on electric motors before and thought. She does this for a living. I tried it and it stated to work. Well now further along it does not run right. The speed is up and down. I feel the brushes are not seated right. Will not always return to park unless you are in the low speed. 2nd and 3rd do not return to park. Can any one give any pointers or have a blow up for a 3 speed motor? I would appreciate any help.

I say that from experience, my new wiper motor got the wires pulled out if it during engine install somehow and when I contacted her she said she would fix it free of charge because it has lifetime warranty. I sent it out, a few weeks later got it back in perfect shape.

How many years ago was that? Obviously before she spiraled down the black hole..
