What is going on here? I'm guessing the dealership bought the car from a private party (who also advertised on collectorcartraderonline.com) and is now flipping it for a quick $3,800 profit before the private party ad expired. Nice. :rotz:

I doubt they actually payed 25k though they aren't going to get 28.8k either. I don't know but that has to be one of the most ugliest hood scoops I have ever seen. It just looks so out of place and from what I can see there is not really a reason why the 6pk set up won't clear with a normal hood. Besides that the interior is also too customised. I don't see anyone paying that price for it any time soon. Also notice how it went from a regular Charger with a 440-6 to a Charger R/T with a 440-6. I would think the original seller was most honest and it is just a regular Charger.

I agree for the most part. However the body is in pretty good shape from what I can tell and I know how much it's worth to find a Charger with solid sheet metal. A guy could buy a new hood and get rid of the hood pins, but then good luck trying to match the hood to the purple metallic clear coat with the body. It wouldn't take much to get the interior back to correct and a six pack definitely wouldn't hurt the value. If I were to buy something like that I would replace the hood and steering wheel and then sell the six pack setup to a '70 owner and go back to a 4bbl. Still, the whole thing seems pretty dicey. :-\

The dealer would ask a lot more if they owned it, the seller probably has it there on consignment... :Twocents:

This car was at the D-C.com meet 2 years ago.  It was pretty straight + nice, but as i remember not original, and a little too yellow on the inside.

It has been for sale for quite a while now,  I want to say close to a year.   Time to get a stock hood....
