Hello all,

Some days ago one of the valve cover gaskets got leaky and it was not immediately recognized. So some oil was dropping on the hot headers.

I want to clean it with some kind of polish but not sure which one is recommended or a must to use.

My headers: TTI 1-7/8" with 3" Collectors POLISHED CERAMIC COATED with a thermal barrier

I have the NEVRDULL at hand but I am not sure if I may damage the header surface in a certain way. May I use the NEVRDULL? If not what guys do you recommend?

Thanks in advance

I've taken some 0000 steel wool to them to clean off the oil, then rubbed some Mothers polish and it seems to work ok. Keep in mind, they will never look new again.

Same here.  What works is Dawn dish soap and then Mother's polish.  Works every time and could not be more gentle on the surface.
