On my 69 Charger I have the 3 inch TTI exhaust with the SS tips. Is there a measurement point used to determine how far they should stick out?

Unless you are looking for factory exact measurement, it is all personal preference. I usually shoot for 1.75-2" out from the bottom of the rear valance.

The factory tips had an "L" shaped bracket that slipped into a rubber grommet that is on a bracket bolted to the rear frame rail area.  This would provide the correct distance they should stick out.  I would trust that measurement only if you had real factory tips.

Did your car have factory tips before? you could just do a comparison.  I'm not even sure if aftermarket tips have that bracket welded in the same spot, I have the Mancini racing stainless ones and they look like other Chargers I have compared them to.  :Twocents:

My car was originally a single exhaust 383 car. I now have a 528 Hemi, TKO 600 5 speed and a Dana 60. The  TTI exhaust fit has been rather poor and that includes the headers. Mostly all issues on the left side. I am pretty much over them now and just need to position the tips in a relatively stock location. Using what was given to me here I have a good idea as to where they will go. Thanks.
