Hey guys!  Looking for a little help.  I have a rebuilt 383 bored .030 over matched with a 727 touqueflite.  They run great, but upgrading to more power so would like to sell.  I just dont have a good sense for what this setup is worth.  Any guidance is helpful.  Thanks!!!

A little more info would help, they don't charge by the word here.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Might be a hard sell
Others will be just like you wanting a little bit more HP

I looked around and found a nice running untouched 383 for my car just because it had one from the factory
I too do not want to spend too much making it better when I can just start with a 440

Bought a complete running 4 door car and sold off the body after I go the drive train out of it
Only have $500 in my motor and transmission ( and 4 steel rims with tires on them )

My guess would be if you can get $1000 for it being a bit better than stock you might want to consider it
Will take a special person looking for a correct year block that might give more

If your potential buyer can hear the engine run in the car, or better yet, take the car for a drive, that would help you with your sale. If you're selling a completely 'dressed' 383 with the Torqueflite, I'd ask $1500 for the package. It's an inexpensive way for a person with a project car to get it on the road and start enjoying the hobby. My  :Twocents:

Thanks for the input guys! That's what I figured..about $1500. Not sure how much more detail there is to provide. Was a fully running motor with all accessories that I pulled in order to use another combo.

I spent over 3K for my "built" 383 many years ago. But looking back, I should have built a 440.  I guess I have a soft spot for the rugged 383. Still do. I love them.

The year of both would be a plus, a '62 is different than '69.
