What is the size and type of the circled hardware? I think they are bolts with retained washers, but not sure. I wish I had a nickel for every lost piece of hardware I've put in a safe place so I can never find it again.

Lennard

Just small bolts, like in your picture. No washers and nuts.

Exactly..

here is a pic of what the head looks like. The length should just be long enough to pass through the bar.  :Twocents:

Edit:  Not sure if how I have the bolts is correct.  If you note in the background of the other side, the bolts go inside out vs outside in (if that makes sense) but I messed with those later after it was installed.

They all go in from the "outside", but it doesn't matter for functioning.

10-24 machine thread with a 5/16 hex head, clear zinc plated, there is a washer molded in the head,  best I can remember about 3/8" thread length. MIGHT be 1/2" max.

Thanks for the replies.    Looks like I have a one of one car, because the holes are actually threaded for 8-32! The pieces were powder coated, so the threads were too dirty for a machine screw to pass through, but now that I've chased the threads with a tap, there is no issue. No way a #10 will fit.  Weird, because the holes in the doors are clearly meant for a larger fastener.
