nice looking charger
is a 99 paint code rare or something tantop?

tan top

as far as I know  , 99 special order paint code is / was not a common thing on 69 E series Charger models,

JB400

Looks pretty good for a cruiser.  I think I'd redo the v21 more properly as well as black out the core support

Kern Dog

Rivets holding the Fender tag on? Aside from that, looks pretty nice to me.
The ad description though...Talk about redundant! Chrome bumpers. Factory heater controls. Factory gas gauge...They might as well also include the following:
Front seats.
Rear seats.
Glass windows.
Air inside tires.
Door weatherstripping.
Steel body panels.

alfaitalia

Lol.

Why do I see so many U.S. cars with compression bent exhausts....do you not have mandrel bent exhausts over there? Every bend is another restriction on a compression formed system...and that's a bad one!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

Kern Dog

Most muffler shops have pipe benders that only do compression bends.

"rally green" was a '68/'69 Chevrolet color that was "special ordered" on a large number of Road Runners (sponsored by some Plymouth dealer associations to get the quantities required to avoid "special order paint" surcharges)

I'd bet the scenario went something like this:
Dodge buyers started asking Dodge salesmen about having a Charger in this "COOL" color on the Road Runners
as this went up the ladder - some exec. at Dodge stated: "we're not going to be painting our Dodges in a GM color, develop our own" & F6 "bright green metallic" was born mid-model year 1969

the subject car appears to be an early F6 car - with its paperwork pushed into production before "bright green metallic" was given its official F6 paint code

I know of NO 1969 Dodges painted "rally green"
I know of NO 1969 Dodges painted K2 "vitamin C"
&
I know of NO 1969 Plymouths painted F6 "bright green metallic"
I know of NO 1969 Plymouths painted V2 "HEMI orange"

This car was at Carlisle back in 2006.  Had the 99 99 designation on the "repro" tag but also had the BS.  It was painted sublime but the owner "stated" it was Rallye Green originally.... VIN tag rivets are suspect as well....

Looks like a nice car, shame it came so close to getting it right,,,but yet missed the mark on so many areas , IMO which need to be hit to get that kind of money out of it . Although the current Charger market will probably prove me wrong . :popcrn:

thanks for sharing, do you have any other 930xxx VON Chargers?

6bblgt

this is the earliest F6 Charger with a "normal" VON (customer/dealer ordered) I have anything on  :2thumbs:

69rtse4spd

No hood to fender gap on the driver side, trunk lid gap looks off a little to, but still nice.

hemi-hampton

I don't like the missing floor plugs on the replaced floors & replaced trunk floor, always a pet peeve of mine I'm quick to notice. LEON.

Good eye, wonder whos pans those are? My AMD's came with all the holes (floor, foot wells, over axle and trunk), other than one small trunk pan hole missing above the right rear frame rail.

A little off current topic here, so my apologies for the hijack..... but seeing how the subject has come up ?

What would be considered an "early" Date and VON number on a B-Sheet/Fender Tag, on an ordered "Y14" 1969 Charger ?

Would an Order Date of Aug 23rd 1968 on the Broadcast Sheet, with a 20xxxx VON be considered "early" for a Y14 Sales Code 1969 model year ?
and,
is there any correlation whatsoever between VON's and the Sales Codes, ie: Y13, Y14 etc.

Thx in advance for any insights, I'm just NOT very saavy at all around VON's ?
