I spilled some of my truck/hood.  I was wondering if it would hurt the paint. ??  :scratchchin:

I have never seen or heard of any negative reaction caused by WD40 and paint contact.  I have used it for years as road tar solvent on many vehicles.  Sometimes having to give that vehicle a pretty good bath in the stuff to do the job!! :icon_smile_big:

WD-40 is good for knocking down a wasp nest, too.

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

With a lighter to ignite the WD40 as it covers the nest. :flame: I should add...using the straw nozzle.
Works good on tent caterpillars also. Just keep a water hose handy to douse the ground as they fall from their tents. Flame on baby.

Been using WD 40 on the original paint '74 CJ-5 before a show or trail ride and it shines and repels water but collects lots of dust. In the old old days the guys, now in their 90's would wipe their cars down with coal oil.

Some use it on their dirt track stock cars to keep the mud off.  I also have seen it used to remove road tar

I spray down my snowblower with WD40 in the spring before putting it away for the summer / fall.

Sometimes my lazy azz detailing jobs underneath the Chargers involve spraying with WD40 and wiping it down with rags.

Just don't spill any brake fluid on your paint - that will cause you some grief.

Exactly why I use silicone brake fluid....harmless to paint.
