440 water pump housing ??

  I am going to run a mechanical water temp. gauge and since I couldn't remove the plug on top of the cast iron housing I got a Proform aluminum housing. I want to run the gauge sender through where the plug would go. Now I have a bunch of adapters but don't have the right one to mount the gauge pick up to the 3/4 in hole for the plug. Does anyone know where one of these adapters could be found ?. Thanks

That will depend on what size your sensor is, but here are some options:

Just get a 3/4" NPT reducer bushing that matches your sensor's thread.

No problem...It would make a lot of sense if retailers would list bushings/adapters with requisite parts.  I had a ton of trouble finding oil fitting adapters a few years ago...often times you have to use a known vendor's part number to get the search results to yield anything noteworthy.
