Is aluminum fuel line OK to use.

I was looking to do the fuel lines on my car and started shopping.  Seems there is a fair amount of aluminum fuel line out there.  It has to be easier to bend.  Any thoughts or experience??

get the pre bent lines, I dont remember what brand, got them from Summit, get 2 ,3/8 lines & run the together so you can have a return set up

I bought the pre bent ones but they don't fit around the torque box in the back and are not easy to get thru the TB cross member because of the frame connectors.  I can probably make the 1/4" line work because it's easier to bend but the 3/8" line is going to be a bear.   I can see that if I didn't have the torque boxes things would go in fairly easily.  Also, laying the two lines together I can see that they are not bent to the same spec.  If I had to guess I would say that the 3/8" line was bent for a generic B body and the 1/4" line was bent for more HP cars like and RT or GTX.   I'm getting a little lazy in my old age and I think I can bend a set up easier than buying another set and working around the problems.

Besides, what else to I have to do in this wonderful Houston climate?

I cut the line & flared the ends & ran EFI rubber line through the slotted area of the frame connector

I used to use the aluminum line. If this is not a 100 pt show restoration, i would consider running braided instead.

If you dont care what it looks like , use the aluminum or other brands offered by napa ect. that come in the roll.  BUT it will look like wobbly mess . I could never get the stuff in a roll to look good enough for my liking . Either get the pre bent and modify slightly if needed Or buy the straight rigid steel lines and bend them up yourself .

I routinely use 3/8" aluminum refrigeration tubing for fuel, a 50' roll is fairly cheap.

I run 3/8" line to and from the tank in aluminum line and I've never had an issue.

Makes alot easier to bend around everything.
