Anyone have feedback on AMD hood hinges?

Mine are twisted after my hood fly up incident  :brickwall:

I think I have the hood just about perfect, sitting flat and flush with the fenders but with the hinges on the back won't lie flat and it just feels like something is binding. Took the springs off and they are all twisted.

Rather than dump a few hundred on AMD hinges, you could use the Dodge pick up/Ramcharger hood hinges from 72-mid 80's, just reuse your Charger springs as the spring rates are different, but the hinges are basically the same

Good to know. Thank you!

I have a set of AMD hood hinges...all painted real pretty in expensive PPG B 5 blue...

Put them on my car...

Didn't fit worth a shit.

When we tryed to close the hood the first time they scratched the fuck out of the underside of my freshly painted hood.

Painted the original hinges and repaired the damage to the hood and all is well...

AMD hood hinges suck. :Twocents:

No Surprise that AMD Hinges Suck, just like most of there other parts or any aftermarket part. But some will say all AMD fit great :shruggy: :slap:

AMD fits great compared to Goodmark and other pre-AMD crap.

It's not OEM.  But it beats what we had before and they make a ton of stuff that nobody else was ever going to make.

As with most things, OEM is best if you can get it.
