Strut rod questions

I am looking for info about strut rods for a '70 b body. I have a bent rod. Is there a place to get a (non adjustable) strut rod or a pair? Does anyone make one that is better steel and won't bend like the originals? Why did the originals bend?

I had one that was bend and bought a new pair from Manciniracing.com.

They bend because of potholes,  curbs and other hits.

I put solid mount adjustable on my 70 just to beef things up.

I couldn't get the Mancini ones to fit correctly on my 1971 Superbee

The shoulder to shoulder length was 1/2" longer on the Mancini Strut Rods

It was basically K Frame to LCA , metal to metal

Tried the MOOG Bushings along with Energy Suspension , nothing worked , no room

Right.  I've found the stock ones are pretty stout.  If you have a bent one, something major happened at one time.

Right.  I've found the stock ones are pretty stout.  If you have a bent one, something major happened at one time.

A lot of tow truck companies would pull from the strut rods because it was the easiest place to hook
