I am thinking I am going to attempt to rebuild my 833 trans.
Is this a very difficult thing to do or is it best left to the professionals???

I have seen the HOW TO's in the mopar mags that detail how to do it but they make it seem easy.

If you're mechanically inclined it shouldn't pose a big problem.  There aren't a lot of parts and no delicate ones.   Follow the rebuild procedure in any good shop manual and you'll be okay.

Manual transmissions are not that hard, just take your time and make sure you put everything back the same way it came out.

Two of my friends have done it recently and didnt have any trouble. You should be able to do it if you have a little mechanical knowledge.

Well...I have assembled a few engines before and they seemed to run quite well and last.
Is there a setup of the gears like in a differential ?...I have never read that there was.

Ghoste

No setup.  There are some thrust washers in there that you'll want to make sure you replace where they were originally.
Mopar Muscle had a quickie tech feature on rebuilding 4 speeds in either the last issue or the one before it.  Check their website if you don't see it on a newstand anymore.
