Appears to be an older Nichels chassis updated through the years and reskinned a few times.
COOL STUFF!
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

What's the actual value of something like that?   :shruggy:

I wonder if this one is a recreation or the second car Van diver referred to?

Here's a pic I took of it once.  Looks much newer than the one in the video.  Also missing a couple of the contingency stickers.

Nice video - good info!   I got the rear leafs for the #88 from Marvin, for use only at Talladega when it was still lumpy.
Towards the end, did you notice what was said about the trunk weatherstrip?   :coolgleamA:

Hard to say as there are not much in the way of comps to judge it.    Although it is not a front line car like a #43 or #71, the positive is it's a real period car, still in time warp condition.     That's pretty cool.

The market on stock cars to me, seem soft.    I also feel very strongly that a public auction is the wrong place to sell one of these.    They typically do not do well.    I am sure this one will have a reserve.

Aero426

Here is a good example of what I am talking about.    Although it is a much newer car, it is very useable and ready to run.   The Kulwicki Hooters Thunderbird came with a boat load of documentation of it competing and winning in Alan's championship season.      Sold for $32,000 at Russo-Steele.    So the new owner bought the engine and got the rest of the race car thrown in for free.     No reserve on a car like this is super risky.   Congrats to the new buyer as it is headed back home to Wisconsin.

Now, if the car was once a winged Daytona, and could be proven, $150-175K  :Twocents:

There is an old saying: "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got a wing".
Very true for vintage MoPar stock cars.  :yesnod:

Based on that, if it were discovered that chassis had worn wing car sheet metal at some point, who would be up for paying $40k for it, skinning off that beautiful authentic body, and re-skinning it as a "real" Daytona and flipping it for a handsome profit?  Acck, just thinking about it. :'(

Here we go.  What if the 74 Charger has this chassis under it?
