Having a hard time finding a shop for my 440 swap/tune. You guys know of anyone?

Yikes, no responses.  I was worried about this when I bought it.  Fewer parts availability, shops, even magazines! Perhaps I should have done Chevelle 454SS 4spd after all  :shruggy:

Go and wash your mouth out with soap and go and sit on the naughty step while you think about what you just said! ;)
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

Go to your local drag strip on drag night and strike up a conversation with some of the mopar guys there. They are bound to lead you in the right direction.

Learning on my own and doing my own swap are two different things.  Running two businesses and a 14 month isn't very conducive to starting to wrench for the first time AND on a major project.  I will be getting a shop to do it!  I will learn through forums, the local club and shop time!

Understood....I guess most of us older dudes had no choice but to learn on our own....no internet, no how to vids and no cash!   :icon_smile_big:

Now that I can afford to have a shop do things for I still don't as it's all pretty straight forward when were talking carburated engines that belonged there in the first place...
Seriously  you could drop a 440 and 727 in and be running in a weekend. The exhaust is really the biggest issue as far as having someone do it, or fitting it yourself with TTI or whatever...

Good luck !

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

If you don't mind the drive up towards Amarillo give Larry or Dallas at D&L Machine a call (806) 655-5588...They are Mopar people, a father/son shop, and I can personally vouch for their work...Just tell them Lance sent you and that you are looking to build a 440 and then have it installed.

I think I saw in your other thread 500 HP was the goal, very easy to achieve and maintain great street manners.  They can build it and then you can head up this direction and get it installed.

If you go thru with it I can get some other cars out and we can get you down to Palo Duro Canyon for some pictures (I believe I could get a 69 and 70 down to complete the trinity!)...your Charger will look great in the canyon...I can film it from behind, have a GoPro on, whatever you want.

If I can be of any help just let me know...don't have the free time I use to have, but I will always make time to help out another Charger owner.
