High & Dry

November 6th, 2016.  No measurable precipitation here for something like 2-months and at something like 6500 feet.  Now you know why I refer to it as the "High & Dry".  No church today (conflicting family obligations) so I thought I might do something spiritual.  Nothing like burning some hi-test.....

...with a poodle.

It is nice looking, (but you do realize that a dog is in the driver's seat).
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Kern Dog

I don't see anyone burning high test, just a nice looking car sitting still. :nana:

OldGuy

Nice looking car - would look better if the front end was lowered a bit IMHO...
"I can tell by your sarcastic undertones, rude comments and total lack of common decency, that you and I could be best friends".

Mopar Nut

"Dear God, my prayer for 2024 is a fat bank account and a thin body. Please don't mix these up like you did the last ten years."

Gentlemen, thank you for the kind words.  High & Dry indeed! I'd forgotten about that Def Lepperd title. Normally, first snow here is October 18th, so we're way past that one. Latest record is November 24th, so we may set a new one yet.

Believe it or not, the poodle is  a working dog....

Indeed! How many people know the poodle "puff balls" are to help insulate joints/body parts when navigating frigid waters? Fantastic and majestic breed.

Yes indeed. My friend uses a pair of standard poodles (one cream and one black) as wildfowling dogs (that's duck shooting below the high-water mark if you use a different term that side of the puddle!). They are by nature fantastic swimmers so think nothing of retrieving downed duck from 50 yards out into the harbour on a freezing January night under the moon!
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving is not for you !!

He's keeping the seat warm. ;D

A good looking Charger out cruising on a good looking day, thanks for showing it off!

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yeah that's what came to my mind also.  "Saturday night, high and dry."

Nice car lloyd....always fun to take a classic on a country drive. I can smell the fumes from here.   :icon_smile_big:

"Smoken & choken" is how my brother describes older muscle cars. He, of course, drives a 2014 Shelby.  At well-over 600 horses, it is impressive, but.....it's not what I would want.  This car suites me just fine.  Fumes and all.

That's what one of our high school football team coaches has, stickers, stripes and all. But on the night we took the Charger to a game, the parents and players were climbing in and out of the Charger. He wasn't too happy.
