Speedometer gear.... color?

So I just got my new wheels and tires, and I need a new speedo gear because I changed tire size on the back.

I was running 295 50 R15 on the back, but now I'm running 225 60 15 on all 4 corners.

So the question I have is, does the color of the gear matter?

I know by looking at the chart that I probably need a 28 tooth gear, but the chart says it should be white and the one I found on classic industries is blue...

Thanks,
Clint

color dont matter. just go off the tooth count.

yes the color somehow matters, since the color makes differences between teeth count

the deal is, several colors were duplicated

for example... black gears were 32, 29 and 44. You won't find any other teeth count with this color, just those
