I have one of those models. Bought it & built it around 1982.
At the time, I thought it was pretty cool that it was built on a NASCAR chassis, and of course, being a kid at the time, I painted the suspension & other pieces purty colors. I built it to just be a Charger, not a GL, but I did hang onto the decal kit...pretty sure it's here somewhere.




Also, since the chassis included a race fuel tank, I cut the trunk lid open & made a brace to hold it open. The rear window is tinted with regular 'ol window tinting.

The Daytona conversion was by RMR Resin.   It looks like it is not in their current catalog.  But you should probably email them and ask.
