X-pipe design variations. Is one better?

I've been looking at getting an x-pipe put in.  I see some are like sharing an opening in the side of the pipe and others almost look like a complete cross flow intersection into each other.   Which is a better choice?

If you do some searching, you will find roughly 5 different designs of the x pipe theory on the market. The basic answer is, they will all be within a tenth of a horsepower of each other. The more important part is pipe size, and location in the exhaust. Choose the size pipe to fit the build, and make sure the xpipe isnt poorly welded containing a ton of slag. If you are a good fabricator, make your own. They are cheap to build and dont really take long. You want a smooth transition to balance the pipes and allow scavenging.

Thanks.  I'm using my stock exhaust HP manifolds with 2 1/2" pipe. It will be just a mildly warmed over 440-6. My H pipe needs a little upgrading so I thought I'd do the x pipe.

I would buy whatever is cheapest. They are easily had for 25-30 bucks.

The Summit one(just the X cross over) is just  two 45 degree exhaust fittings hacked and welded together so you could make there version in a few min. I used that with  3 inch flowmaster mufflers and over the axle pipes and just a few homemade sections of pipe for my exhaust on a built 440 with out any issues. If def made more power then just the two separate not connected pipes I had for duel exhaust before.
And every one always gave me props for how great the car sounded.
