My grandpa had a self driving transportation device. His name was Dudley, and he wore iron shoes and ate oats and hay.

But youre right about drunks and teenagers sending and reading texts while supposed to be driving. They are a real menace.  :eek2:

Maybe they should have to drive horses?

Think of all the R&D money being spent on computerized cars that drive themselves, when the solution has been around for a long time.

Teenagers who text while driving, and drunks, could probably benefit from some fresh air anyways.

Self driving, we have had this technology for years now........ It's called a Taxi

So..... if a new self driven car runs into you, who is at fault, the idiot reading a book in his self driving car, the manufacturer of the self driving vehicle, or the  individual driving his own vehicle.

Great point!  I work for a large national insurance company and this is something that I keep hearing about from Senior Management. It will be very interesting to see how it will all play out!   :scratchchin:

Self-driving cars are much farther away from reality than the MSM thinks.  The legal/liability issues are enormous barriers and there is no solution in sight.

Why the driver in full control of his car of course, he could have avoided the accident.
Around here a few years ago there was a Law if you hit a horse and buggy and the horse had a red light, you the driver of the car would be at fault. The horse could not tell the color of the light. So I was told by a very old man.
