Homie probably wants like 5 grand for it...

all depends on that one line in the ad.

" i may have the vin plate"  :popcrn: :popcrn:

Even with the vin plate its only worth 800 bucks max. There is nothing left of the car and what is there is rusted practically beyond repair with a salvage title. The ad should read free to the first person who wants to pick it up...  :Twocents:

Coming from the rust belt i see a complete front clip that looks like no rot. By the looks of the trunk floor id say the rails and cross member are probably solid as springs are not up threw the floor. The front floor pics i cant tell on my pc screen if there is rot or not.

Looks more solid than a lot of the 5k cars that been on ebag as of late.

Sad to say, but body wise looks more solid than what i started out with on my 70 r/t. :pity:
i changed inner fenders and upper and lower cowl and door hinge pillars.  :rotz:

B5 blue with white roof and interior; must have been a pretty car when it was new.

Mine is QQ1 with a white top but black interior. I'd love a white interior but this combo is really hard to come across!

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

He states. . .

"I am offering the car at no reserve and would like to see someone rebuild it since it is very rebuildable".

If is it so "rebuildbale" now why did he strip it for parts.  ::)

You have to remember that the popularity of these cars has continued to grow so cars of the past that were stripped for parts for really nice cars, are now worthy of building. Case in point. I had a parts car that came with a 69 Charger R/T   It still had the dash frame, fender tag and all the sheet metal. However the interior was stripped. Even the bucket seat braces on the floor were removed. It was a Texas car with very minimum rust but needed floors and trunk pan. I tracked down the legal owner. Got a title. Dug up a date coded 383 and a 4 speed and sold it for more than you would probably believe.

Yeah I'm from the rust belt as well and a car that looks like that on the surface needs a minimum of floor, trunk, frame rails, quarters, etc. just to name a few. With no title that thing isn't worth but about 800$. That amount would get you the good parts that are left. Roof, front clip etc. Maybe some one would get lucky after cleaning off the leaves that have been there for years and find a solid floor. I've never seen it in the thirty years I've been doing these restoration projects. If the car had the title and 90% of the car wasn't stripped already, sure I could see paying 5K or more. My charger was in that kind of shape when I got it as well. With only a severely rusted shell and no title I think someone would be crazy to pay anything more than what was already offered for that car.

With the vinyl top still on there i doubt there is anything good on the roof. Id be willing to bet front and rear window channels toast along with rot near the 1/4 joint at the seam. Says in the ad the frame rails are rock solid. I believe it as my trunk pan and gas tank were dust yet the rails themselves were solid. If the rails were toast the springs would be up threw the trunk. The front inner fenders have a bit of surface rust, so id say the front rails are solid too.If he has the dash and vin easy enough to go threw VT and get a title for it.

That being said too much of a project for me. I agree its a stripped down hulk be parts hunting for years.

Bid to $2700

at 2700 in the first day, there is obviously a few people who have an xs29L8 vin number and nothing to put it on

Or his buddies are trying to make it look like someone is interested to get bids moving...

Maybe, but it's not like the old ebay days where it was free to list and only paid a flat rate when it sold. Now it's $50 to list whether it sells or not. Plus the flat rate at the end if sold. Not even worth it to sell parts anymore because of the fees
