Kinda got duped figuring I would see some classic stock car racing footage, which I did for about 5 minutes.  Then it was all '50's junkers being smashed to hell.  I barely made it through.

I'd forgotten all about Fabian's Thunder Charger.

I guess I'm a sucker for punishment as I started watching this one as well.  A bit of classic stock car footage, then onto the '50's heaps barreling into each other.

I recall seeing this one as a kid in the mid '70's, not all of it but some of the scenes of the cars bursting into flames as they head over the guardrail stuck in my mind ever since.

  anyone know what that fireball car is baised on?.. a cuda?.  looks like an actual dodge showcar from the time called the Daroo II sure would look good with some color shifting paint.

The Fireball 500 car was on the show circuit a few years back.   I saw it at Etown at the Atlantic Nats awhile back.  

The "SuperCharger" was on the auto show circuit back about '70.    IIRC it's owned by a guy on moparts - and I'm thinking he goes by SuperCharger there but I could be wrong.   Either way,  it's still in pretty good shape from the pics that were posted.

That fireball 500 car was on sale for quite a while a few years back.  Out of the same Kansas museum that had the 1970 "Daytona."
