Repair or replace- 1969 Charger fender

Thought I'd ask here since I know there are some experienced body guys on the forum. On my '69, I have the original driver's side front fender and a '68 fender on the passenger side that's been converted to a '69 using the original wrecked '69 passenger fender. The passenger fender I think I will use when the car goes to the body shop as it was converted nicely and besides a little rust spot on the inside, it's nice. The driver's side fender on the other hand has me wondering if I should get it fixed or don't bother and find a nicer used/new AMD fender. It's rusty, has a bunch of filler (I can thank my dad for that), a few metal tears on the wheel well edges and a dent on the front edge. What do you guys think?

That's what I was leaning towards. My friend just bought a pair of brand new AMD fenders for his '69 R/T SE and unfortunately they were more or less $1,000 each after the exchange rate!  :faint:

:iagree:  Two years ago, I would have said replace them, but now with the fenders from AMD, there're dented anyway.

Replace without a doubt. A good used one would be ideal but I don't know how hard they are to find in your neck of the woods.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Wait did yo really mean $1000 USD each?  That's wild.  Even the SRP is only $750 plus shipping ($175 for the two pieces).  Any way yo can find a local distributor?  I replaced both of mine and they did take some work but your one side looks too bad off.

That's from a local distributor. From AMD, they are $749.99 USD each which converts to $965.00 CAD. Then you have shipping, taxes etc on top  :faint:
