Hi guys,

Got a fairly simple one for ya today. What starters would you guys recommend for my 440? Mine is going out and I'm looking for a fresh one. I was planning on making an order from summit this week. Thanks in advance

Thanks Luke,

I found a DB Electrical mini starter on eBay for $70 shipped, I will be ordering that one tonight. It seems to have a ton of good reviews, too.

go to auto part store and get one for a 94 Dakota with a V6 or V8....probably cheaper and with a lifetime warranty

Damn I just ordered it a few minutes ago. I'm ok with spending $70 on a mini, it got really good reviews and they said it turns like a mo-fo

Got a D&B myself...what really woke up cranking with it was a red top Optima battery!  :o

I've got a regular ole everstart in mine right now, but I've heard good things about the red ones. That will probably be my next one I'm thinkin

I have the DB as well. I haven't been able to start my engine yet so I can only praise it for it's light weight and very slim body so far. Lots more real estate available all of a sudden!   :2thumbs:

That thing looks great on there. Super slim too. I noticed you took that little plastic extension thing off for the hook ups.

Yeah you have to, the starter won't fit until you remove the extension.

Cool. I'm excited to see the improvement. My starter spins loudly a while after the motor has started. Sounds terrible!
