Hello, All...

I have a '73 Charger SE (318 eng., AT) that is usually pretty reliable, however....  After sitting for several months (9+) and only starting once each month, now it won't start.

The car will crank...ad nauseum, but will not actually run.   I had AutoZone test my ICM, and it was bad, so I replaced it (again), but now it still won't start (yes...I have gas in the tank  ;))

Another symptom...when I turn my key on...not movement on my gauges.  They don't move at all.  In fact, my speedo is stuck pointing straight up at 60.

Any ideas?  Thanks in Advance.

Remove the air cleaner and check for accelerator pump discharge. Is the choke closing? Try a shot of starting fluid or carb cleaner down the carb ,re install the air cleaner an see if it fires.

Check for a spark at the coil wire. Put a spark plug in the coil wire and lay it on the intake manifold. Have someone crank the engine . Do you see a spark? ....Make sure there is no gasoline nearby.
