Installing new throttle linkage and floor shifter. All seemed to go OK, however, after getting the brackets and levers installed... to check that they were secure, yet free moving...

Probably a stupid question... should the shift lever be movable without having the brake applied? ..that is, without thinking (as sometimes happens) I just reached up and gave it a tug... my fear is that I shouldn't have.

Stock has a button. All aftermarkets are required to have a park lockout whever itz a lever, handle or button.
