Would a electric fuel pump mounted at the rear help with vapor lock?

So I'm not sure the vapor lock that happened to two summers ago has been cured on my 73 Charger 400. After it happened the day we came back where it conked out and started it up and drove it right home no problem. I knew it was vapor lock. I haven't been brave enough to drive it more than around the block a few times since that happened because of how constantly crazy the traffic flow in my area is. It's more than a hassle to have your car stall here, it's dangerous. If I lived in the country it might not be a big deal. It's got an Edelbrock 1400 on it, not the best choice but it was new and that's what I have. Since that time I called Edelbrock and they suggested their carb insulator gasket which I added and took off the original steel line from the pump to the carb and added a high temp silicone fuel hose routed the best way possible to keep it away from the heat, but it's not really possible if you go the same route as the factory. Then I had a mechanic come and check and adjust timing and mixture and we drove it for an hour in the 90 degree weather and it did fine. That may be all it needed, I don't know. But I've seen old car owners that have installed electric fuel pumps back near the gas tank as added insurance against vapor lock. Is it really helpful for this Charger? The edelbrock guy told me that their carbs don't like more than 6psi and 5-6 is best. Which I think I'm running at either 5 or 6 I can't remember. I've got a gauge inline now too. So would adding a low pressure electric fuel pump out back do anything to the fuel pressure at the mechanical pump? Just wanting to know if it's something worth investing on installing because it's mainly just sitting in my garage other than being started every once and awhile to keep it going. I've been enjoying my Dakota R/T that seems a little more reliable but not quite as powerful and I can tell.

What intake? What valley pan gasket? Can you post a picture of the carb spacer they sold you?

to answer your question, i don't think it will, heres why. I have an electric pump in back above the tank and it had vapor lock. the way i got rid of vapor lock was to install the heat block crossover intake gasket, and a carb spacer. this cured it. my pump runs 5-7psi and i have an eddy carb. i do not have the mechanical pump. i have hard line going to a block on my firewall with a gauge then rubber hose to the carb. hope this helps
