Where do I get a driveshaft for my 73 Charger?

I've got my 73 Charger that's been sitting in the garage all winter. I need to get it out and at least drive it around home. It's still got some bugs to work out. I've never been able to drive it long trips. I think I'm going to end up keeping it even though I've had it for 12 years and haven't even been able to put 50 miles on it since I redid all the mechanicals. I think it's running ok now but I'm sure it could be better. The biggest problem to work out now is the driveshaft issue. It's got a vibration pretty bad at close to 80mph. When I was doing everything to the car I had the driveshaft out and had put some new ujoints in it. When I took it to a driveshaft shop one guy said it had a dent in it. But I never could see it. Then I took it to another shop to look at it and he didn't see it either. But the first driveshaft I went to told me that looking the transmission yoke he said it didn't look like it was long enough. It's got an 8.75 small diameter pinion, I think the 741 casting, 10 spline I think. It has the big ujoints. I don't know where the driveshaft came from. It was in the car when I got it. It has a 400, 727, and 3.91 Sure Grip 8.75. So what can I get a driveshaft from? Or would it be cheaper to get this one rebuilt and lengthened?

Look for driveshaft shop in your area. They can build you a new one.

If you want to order a premium one, I always recommend Denny's Driveshafts. Google them.

I don't know where you live. I used to work at this driveline shop. You can ship your shaft to them for the work needed. Excellent work and very honest people. Tory is in charge of the driveline dept. Website......  http://www.drivelinespecialists.net

You probably can get a used one fairly cheap. Lots if foks on the forums(s) that have bought a parts car would most likely have no use for it.
Just a thought. Did you try the folks at the 71-74 Charger or B body forums?
