That pcv valves are good for something. Put in a Wagner adjustable today and went for a spirited drive. No more hot smelly engine or leaks after running it hard

I am intrigued.  Pretty pricey for a pcv valve though.

It is very interesting.  I love when someone does real testing and data collection.

An observation and comment.  It is a little curious that for the level of effort in the data collection and presentation, they clearly omit other worthwhile data and presentations methods.  And, just remember what the objective is for the PCV.

The PCV is a "balance".  If the goal was to never have positive crankcase pressure, you would simply remove the the valve from the PCV and use full manifold vacuum to evacuate the crankcase 100% of the time.  Of course, that has other consequences.

Thanks for posting.

Honestly I've always looked at the PCV as possible vacuum leak? Now that I'm in test tune with the new carb/heads I may just get one.  :scratchchin:

I had oil leaks that would be especially bad after running it hard that I couldn't track down at idle on the lift. Some reading made me think about crankcase pressure. I didn't want to give up idle vacumn, read one place about a fram part #, but found this part. I think you could make a cover with an old valve cover breather like the one on the right rear of a six pack engine with the hose spigot that leads to the valve cover.
