Installed this Summit brand A/F ratio gauge last year. Same as an AEM. Took the Charger to work today and noticed the gauge reading all dashes across the read out. It would come back to a normal read in the 13's, then go all the way to the lean side and show all dashes again. It kept doing that, then just stayed all the way lean. Repeated this on the way home.

Is this a normal failure of an O2 sensor? It is only 1 year old.

it could be the sensor, but probably not.  sensors usually last 50k 70k miles

Had a bosch O2 sensor foul out after about a year exactly as you're describing.  Tried cleaning it and recalibrating it but no-go.  My fuel mix was VERY rich at times while dialing in the carb, that's the only reason I could figure for such an early problem with it?
