Wow I put a wanted thread up and within 24 hours I see this posted.  I tried to find the car for sale locally so I could contact the owner but had no luck.  Google failed me.

Very nice looking car. What do we think it will sell for? Currently at 24K with 9 days left.

QuoteI do not have the build plate or the factory engine and transmission.

How much does this affect value? How much more would the car fetch if #'s matching with fender tag?

GOTWING

love this color on the 68's with white rump stripe.

Apperantly you can get new fender tags made.I know we have discussed it before but i have just registered to for e bodies only forum and they have a thread about a company called Marti Auto Works and datatags.com making them.Just a my  :Twocents:

I never looked into getting a fender tag.  Doesn't matter to me.  I've seen a lot of #'s matching cars that have all the documents that are complete chopped up basket cases.  A plate or build sheet would be cool but I'd have to use the paper to cover my eyes to hide some of the horrific body that's out there.  I know my car is a RT, I also know it is one of the early versions because of the serial # and the trunk reinforcements.  I also know that all the sheet metal is original and matches.  This is a big problem if you need to start replacing panels on these cars.  None of the aftermarket stuff lines up and you can't hardly afford to buy oem that isn't rusted out.  If your a purest I understand the documentation is important.  If you love the 1968 RT charger I think this is a great vehicle for you to drive and enjoy.

What if she was a number matching 4 speed? How much would she go for?The only reason I ask because you never see them for sale so can't even compare!

stripedelete

It was a stand-up triple at $40k.  $44k is a home run.  Good for you!

andersoncustom

Thanks for the interest.  The car is going to a great home.  And a member of the forum.
