Petty Blue Superbirds

Does anybody know if there were Petty Blue Superbirds that came factory with white vinyl tops? There appears to be a few around.

Black only for factory Superbird tops.

Legendary will make the top in any color you want, and that's what you're seeing...

I have collected pix of a few different Birds with white tops (including mine). As noted in earlier post, black is believed to be the only top color. My car was B5 repainted to Petty Blue in the 1970's, so my top being factory white very-very unlikely. I believe it was an orange bird I saw in the 1980's that had "white top" noted on the dealer invoice or window sticker (some paperwork), but us "numbers matching guys" back then assumed it was not real.

Until someone proves otherwise, only black vinyl tops from factory.  However, I do like the look of white top for some interior/exterior schemes.
