I am trying to fit a lower radiator flex hose to my '68 Charger 383. What length should the hose be to assure a proper fit? I tried a 14" as that length was similar to the hose that was there. The 14" hose is too long.

What length will work?

I am not a fan of restrictive flex hoses , try to locate a proper molded hose with a spring inside , if it doesn`t have a spring , coil up a coathanger to prevent the hose from colapsing

Got my correct stamping repro rubber hose from Bill Alphin and it fit perfectly!  I think his web site is www.amhightecauto.com.  If not, I know Chris (moderator) has it.

Thanks for the info. I will call around to ALL of the auto parts stores today to see if I can avoid a flex hose.

Chryco, which parts stores have you had luck finding the proper radiator hoses?

resq302. I am unable to get the link to work, at least on my computer.

Thanks resq302, I will check out the site.

I found a molded hose. Napa Parts # 7342. I just have to shorten it to fit. But it did not come with a spring, so I will have to try the coat hanger.
