Daytona Headrest Bezels

I am confused about Daytona headrest bezels. I had what I believe to be my original bezels rechromed and have since lost one of them. I found an NOS one and was maybe going to use it as is or possibly have it rechromed as well in order to better match the three I had. I looked up the part number and it states that the correct part number is 2888 487. However once I received that part I noticed it looked a little different than the three that I had. The three that I had have a casting number of 2942 848. The dimensions on them are the same with the exception of the hole that the headrest shafts go through. The parts that I believe are original to my car have a noticeably smaller hole. It is still large enough to easily slide over the headrest shaft . The reason I'm not 100% sure those bezels are original to my car is that the restorer is the one that had them rechromed. The NOS bezel I purchased has a casting number that is the same as the part number in the parts book which again is 2888 487.  Have any of you looked at the casting number on the back of your headrest bezels for a Daytona or a late 69 Charger? I'm not even sure how noticeable this will be once installed but I want to have the correct ones in the car. Thank you for your help.

My '69 parts book dated june 70 has the part number as 2942847.

FJMG

My Daytona and charger both with vin ending in 4XXXXX has all four bezels with 2942848.

Both were in the car in the early 80's but I cannot confirm if they were the ones Chrysler installed in 1969.

Well it looks like the parts book that I have is wrong. It also appears that the three rechromed originals I have are indeed the originals out of my car. I guess I'll return the wrong NOS bezel and be looking for a nice pit free 2942848 to get rechromed. If somebody has one for sale let me know. Thanks

It's not that your book is wrong they were updated as needed.
