Alright, so I screwed up on my 440. replaced old ignition system with msd distributor and 6al2 and lost track cylinder 1 on the distributor , I thought I found TDC of #1 by taking the spark plug out and bumping it over until pressure pushes my finger off. But when I go to turn the motor over to reach 10 BTDC, its nowhere near the timing mark. bumped again but still nowhere near the tdc mark. any ideas will be appreciated. :brickwall: :brickwall:

If you really are on #1 spark plug hole (drivers side front cylinder), then when you feel the pressure you are still probably over 90 degrees from #1 fire. Remember pressure starts to build as the piston moves from BDC and "fire" comes near TDC. When you feel the pressure, keep turning a ways until TDC shows on the damper.

Can also pull valve cover and turn over till both valves close on #1, keep turning till damper lines up.
