Can anyone tell me anything about this steering wheel boss?

I've had my Charger since March 2015 and one of the things that has always puzzled me is this steering wheel boss:



Must admit I've not looked that hard, but I've not encountered one like it anywhere else. Can anyone tell me anything about it, or is it something someone's made?

  looks like the normal S81 wheel set up to me ,  although the emblem in the centre of the horn pad , is either missing &  or been painted over with a image of  bug of some kind in red

Thanks! I thought there was something odd. The bug is a plastic moulding of some kind, inside a transparent bezel like the original's. Whoever (or whichever company) did it, they did a smart job.
